Today's goal was simply to get the heads off and ready to go the machine shop next week.

Here's where my exhaust leak was coming from on the driver's side.

I'm amazed it actually sealed up once warm.  Might make a good paperweight.

Passenger side was still good but the headers will be replacing them both anyway.

Both heads off with only slight loss of blood.  A BFS (Big F'ing Screwdriver) placed at the front of the head where the intake manifold met the block and head did the trick.  O yea it required a BFH (Big F'ing Hammer) also.  Yea Yea Bruce ... you were right but I won't tell anyone.  All the bolts came off without problems but someone before me broke off one manifold bolt in each head.  I'll get the machine shop to take those out for me.
